Uganda’s National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board and the Uganda Revenue Authority have met licensed operators to implement a 15% withholding tax on betting and gaming winnings. The levy, introduced under Section 131 of the Income Tax (Amendment) Act, 2026, will be enforced across the sector.
